Lahore Police have achieved a significant milestone in their ongoing efforts to maintain law and order by arresting over 16,300 proclaimed offenders in the current year. The arrests, which include individuals from both Category A and Category B, were carried out through a targeted crackdown aimed at curbing criminal activities in the provincial capital.

Breakdown of Arrests

According to the Lahore Police spokesperson, the arrests were made possible through effective policing strategies and intelligence-based operations conducted across the city. During the campaign, law enforcement apprehended 3,192 Category-A proclaimed offenders and 13,204 Category-B offenders. This comprehensive operation underscores the police force's commitment to public safety.

CCPO's Statement

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana stated that indiscriminate action is being taken against criminal elements to make the city safer for its residents. He emphasized that the arrest of offenders involved in serious crimes is yielding positive results in maintaining law and order and helping eradicate criminal activity.

The CCPO noted that Lahore Police are utilizing both human intelligence and modern digital technologies to dismantle networks of proclaimed offenders and bring them to justice. This dual approach ensures that even the most elusive criminals are tracked down and apprehended.

Future Directives

Bilal Kamyana further directed field officers to intensify efforts against Category-B offenders and ensure effective follow-up of wanted suspects. He instructed police teams to conduct intelligence-based operations to arrest proclaimed offenders and present them before the courts. Reaffirming the police force's commitment to public safety, the CCPO said special tasks have been assigned to operational teams and that no effort will be spared to protect citizens' lives and property and to promote a peaceful society.
