The government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has announced a reward of Rs10 million for any information that leads to the arrest of four leaders from the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC). According to an official notification, the reward will be provided to individuals whose tips result in the capture of the wanted persons. Authorities have also assured that the identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.
Details of the Wanted Individuals
The four individuals named in the notification are Shaukat Nawaz Mir, Umar Nazir Kashmiri, Mehran Arshad Khawaja, and Sardar Aman. The AJK Home Department has directed the Inspector General of Police to ensure immediate implementation of the reward scheme and to coordinate efforts for their arrest.

In a related development, an audio recording allegedly linked to JAAC leaders recently surfaced on social media, prompting security-related concerns. The clip was also shared publicly by a federal minister, who described it as part of a sensitive matter. In the purported recording, voices said to be associated with JAAC leaders can be heard discussing the situation in Rawalakot and referring to possible unrest in the region, with claims of escalation to other areas including Muzaffarabad and Mirpur.
Authorities have urged the public to come forward with any information that could assist in the arrest of these individuals, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and security in the region.
