Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi has announced the launch of a free Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summer Camp for students during the summer vacations. The announcement was made during a press conference at the Governor House in Karachi. The camp aims to equip the youth with modern technological skills, particularly in AI.
Key Personalities Present
Minister of State and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Fahad Haroon, Daniyal Nagori, and other notable personalities were also present on the occasion. The governor stated that through the summer camp, students would be provided free training in AI to help them acquire skills aligned with future needs.
Accessibility of AI Training
Governor Hashmi emphasized that any child who can use a mobile phone can also easily learn AI. He stressed that introducing children to modern technology and artificial intelligence from an early age is a critical need of today's world.
The governor added that developed nations invest in the education, research, and skill development of their younger generations from an early stage, which is why they lead global progress. He further said that nations advancing today are those connecting their children with technology and innovation from an early age.
Opportunity Creators, Not Just Job Seekers
“Our goal is not only to make youth job seekers but also opportunity creators,” he added. Governor Hashmi stated that students should be introduced to AI and modern skills right from school level. He said AI education would open new doors of higher education, employment, innovation, and economic empowerment for the youth.
He reaffirmed that Governor House will continue practical initiatives to connect young people with future technologies and prepare them for modern challenges.
