8 Injured in Mohmand Coach Overturn Accident

At least eight passengers, including women, children, and elderly individuals, sustained injuries when a passenger coach overturned in the Autokhel area of Halimzai tehsil in Mohmand district on Saturday, according to Rescue 1122 officials.

Cause of the Accident

Initial reports indicated that the accident was caused by overspeeding, which led the driver to lose control of the vehicle before it overturned, injuring several passengers. The coach was carrying residents of Durbakhel village in Halimzai tehsil.

Rescue Operation

Following the emergency call, Rescue 1122 medical and rescue teams, led by District Emergency Officer Engineer Khaliq Dad, reached the scene promptly and launched a coordinated rescue operation. Rescue personnel administered first aid to the injured before shifting all eight victims to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Ghalanai for further treatment.

Condition of the Injured

Officials confirmed that the injured included women, children, and elderly people, all residents of Durbakhel village. They added that all those injured were reported to be in stable condition and receiving medical care.
