The PTCL Group demonstrated robust growth momentum, further cementing its status as Pakistan's leading telecommunications entity.
Financial Highlights Show Remarkable Turnaround
The PTCL Group reported a consolidated revenue increase of 58% year-on-year. This significant surge is attributed to the inclusion of Telenor Pakistan's results into the group portfolio, coupled with sustained expansion in fixed broadband, enterprise solutions, wholesale operations, and mobile services.
Consolidated operating profit experienced an extraordinary rise of 564%, driven by the integration of Telenor Pakistan, a strong recovery in Ubank's performance, continued improvement in Ufone's financial health, and PTCL's consistent operational excellence.
The group achieved a net profit of Rs3.1 billion, marking a dramatic reversal from the net loss of Rs4 billion recorded in the same period last year. This turnaround is primarily due to the substantial operating profit generated during the quarter.

Banking Segment Shows Strong Recovery

Strategic 5G Spectrum Acquisition Positions PTCL for Future
As part of its transformation journey, PTCL Group achieved a major milestone in Q1 2026 by securing a substantial share of spectrum in Pakistan's landmark 5G auction. This positions the group at the forefront of next-generation connectivity.
The acquisition of high-capacity spectrum in the globally recognized 3.5 GHz and 2.6 GHz bands enables PTCL Group to deliver ultra-fast speeds, low latency, and advanced digital services across consumer and enterprise segments.
This spectrum will be leveraged across the combined Ufone and Telenor Pakistan footprint following their ongoing integration, creating the largest spectrum portfolio in the country serving more than 72 million customers. This strategic move allows PTCL Group to accelerate nationwide 5G rollout, enhance network efficiency, and unlock new digital use cases across industries, reinforcing its leadership in enabling Pakistan's digital future.
Enhanced Flash Fiber Portfolio and Strategic Initiatives
PTCL introduced an enhanced Flash Fiber portfolio in Q1, with entry-level speeds starting from 30 Mbps. This initiative underscores a strategic focus on elevating baseline broadband experience standards, aligning customer offerings with evolving digital consumption needs.
The Business Solutions segment sustained strong performance, with continued demand for ICT services, including cloud, data centers, managed services, and cybersecurity solutions. PTCL further strengthened its position as a trusted partner for government and enterprise customers.
Marketing Campaigns Drive Brand Engagement
PTCL Group maintained strong performance in Q1 2026 as it continued to strengthen brand visibility and audience engagement through strategic campaigns aligned with culture, community, and consumer relevance.
