Connor Storrie Reportedly Joins Billie Eilish in The Bell Jar

A Canadian museum has seemingly confirmed that Connor Storrie, the breakout star of Heated Rivalry, has joined Billie Eilish in the upcoming film adaptation of The Bell Jar. The apparent leak came from Parkwood National Historic Site in Oshawa, Ontario, which posted and later deleted an Instagram message thanking the cast and crew after filming wrapped at the historic mansion.

Deleted Instagram Post Reveals Details

According to screenshots of the deleted post, the museum wrote: "That's camera wrap on Parkwood's role in the Sarah Polley directed film, The Bell Jar, starring Billie Eilish in her cinematic debut, along with Connor Storrie." The post also noted that a greenhouse staff member created a bouquet of flowers for Eilish to welcome her to the property, which served as a filming location. The museum thanked the cast and crew for "another wonderful film experience" before removing the post.

No Official Confirmation Yet

Neither Focus Features, director Sarah Polley, Storrie, nor Eilish has confirmed the casting. Representatives for the studio, the actors, and the museum did not immediately respond to requests for comment after the post surfaced. If accurate, the role would mark another significant career milestone for Storrie, who recently earned widespread attention for his breakout performance in Heated Rivalry and a Primetime Emmy nomination for hosting Saturday Night Live.

Billie Eilish's Cinematic Debut

Eilish was officially announced as the lead of The Bell Jar earlier this year, marking the Grammy and Oscar-winning musician's feature film acting debut as Esther Greenwood. The adaptation is being written and directed by Academy Award winner Sarah Polley, whose last feature, Women Talking, won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay.

About The Bell Jar

Based on Sylvia Plath's only novel, The Bell Jar follows Esther Greenwood, a gifted young woman whose glamorous New York internship gives way to a profound mental health crisis as she struggles with societal expectations and her own identity. The semi-autobiographical novel, first published in 1963, is widely regarded as a modern literary classic.

Awaiting Official Announcement

Although the deleted Instagram post has fuelled speculation about Storrie's involvement, fans will likely have to wait for an official announcement to learn which character he plays. Until then, the museum's brief social media post has provided the strongest indication yet that the actor has quietly joined one of Hollywood's most anticipated literary adaptations.
