Rising actor Samar Jafri is stepping well outside his comfort zone with his latest television project, Raja London Ka. Best known for portraying gentle, grounded characters, Jafri recently gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the preparation required to play one of his most physically demanding roles yet.
Behind-the-Scenes Action
Taking to social media, the actor shared a video of himself performing an action sequence, taking down a group of on-screen opponents. While he appeared confident on camera, Jafri admitted that filming such scenes is far less effortless than it looks. "They chose the least violent person to play the most violent character," he joked in the caption.
Jafri revealed that his biggest concern during action scenes is not his own safety but that of his co-stars, explaining that he constantly worries about accidentally landing a punch or mistiming a kick while performing the choreography. He added that convincing fight sequences are the result of extensive teamwork, thanking director and producer Fajr Raza, along with the stunt coordinators and production crew, for ensuring the scenes were executed safely and convincingly.
Rare Look at Television Action Sequences
The post offered fans a rare look at the careful planning behind television action sequences, highlighting the coordination required to make every punch and fall appear realistic without putting performers at risk. Raja London Ka marks a departure from the conventional family dramas that dominate Pakistani television, exploring themes of power, political intrigue and survival.
Plot and Themes
The story contrasts the gritty streets of Landa Bazaar with the polished corridors of political power, creating a narrative driven by ambition, conflict and shifting loyalties. Starring Jafri alongside Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz, the drama challenges both actors with more restrained and layered performances than audiences have come to expect.
As the struggle for power continues to unfold, the series has kept viewers engaged with its mix of suspense, political intrigue and action. Raja London Ka airs every Monday and Tuesday.
