The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully concluded the eighth phase of its Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center project in Taiz, Yemen, serving a total of 8,050 beneficiaries over the past 12 months. The project, which ran from January 1 to May 31, 2026, is part of ongoing Saudi humanitarian efforts to support Yemenis and alleviate their suffering.
Project Achievements and Services
During the eighth phase, the center manufactured 300 new upper and lower-limb prostheses for patients with various mobility impairments. In addition, physical rehabilitation services were provided to 3,900 individuals, while technical rehabilitation and maintenance services were delivered to 700 patients. The project also offered medical and technical consultations to 3,100 beneficiaries, enhancing access to comprehensive rehabilitation care.
Employment and Sustainability
The project created 50 employment opportunities for local staff, contributing to the sustainability of rehabilitation services in the region. According to KSrelief officials, this initiative aims to improve the quality and efficiency of care provided to Yemenis, ensuring that patients receive ongoing support for their mobility needs.

Taiz, one of Yemen's most populous cities, has been significantly affected by the ongoing conflict, leaving many residents with disabilities and limited access to healthcare. The KSrelief center addresses a critical gap by providing prosthetic limbs and rehabilitation services, helping beneficiaries regain mobility and independence.
