At least three labourers lost their lives after being electrocuted while carrying out maintenance work at the Sher Shah Toll Plaza in Multan on Friday, according to rescue officials.

Details of the Incident

The tragic incident occurred when the workers were repairing lights installed on the steel roof of the toll plaza. They had been using an iron ladder to complete the maintenance work. According to rescue authorities, the accident happened after the workers finished their task and were returning the iron ladder to a storage area. During the process, the ladder reportedly came into contact with high-voltage electricity wires.

Fatal Shock

The contact triggered a powerful electric shock, causing all three workers to suffer fatal injuries at the scene. The deceased were identified as Qayyum, Ameen and Nadeem.
