Pakistan, Egypt discuss US-Iran deal, R-4 meeting

ISLAMABAD - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty on Wednesday, during which the two leaders exchanged views on key regional and international developments. According to the Foreign Office, the discussion focused on the recent understandings reached between the United States and Iran, as well as the forthcoming signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, scheduled for Friday.

R-4 Foreign Ministers' Meeting

The two foreign ministers also reviewed preparations for the upcoming Regional Four (R-4) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, which is set to take place later this month. They discussed matters of mutual interest and underscored the importance of continued regional engagement and coordination.

Commitment to Close Contact

Both sides agreed to remain in close contact and to further strengthen consultation on regional and international issues.
