ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with his Iranian counterpart Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Friday, exchanging views on regional developments and highlighting the ceasefire violations conducted by Israel in Lebanon, expressing serious concern over the situation.
Diplomatic Talks
DPM/FM Dar felicitated Iran on the signing of the historic "Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding" with the United States. He also conveyed his best wishes for the commencement of the next phase of negotiations, expressing hope that the process would move smoothly and yield positive outcomes.
The two leaders discussed various aspects of bilateral relations and regional peace. Dar reiterated Pakistan's stance on the importance of upholding international law and UN resolutions regarding the conflict in the Middle East.
Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi thanked Pakistan for its consistent support and acknowledged the role of Islamabad in facilitating dialogue between Tehran and Washington.
Both sides agreed to continue close consultations on matters of mutual interest and to work together for stability in the region.
