Saudi, Bahraini FMs Discuss US-Iran Talks in Riyadh

The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met in Riyadh on Sunday to discuss the ongoing US-Iran negotiation process and efforts to bolster regional security and stability, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Key Discussions on US-Iran Talks

The meeting focused on the bilateral negotiation process between the United States and Iran. The next round of talks between Iranian and US negotiators is scheduled to take place after July 9, following funeral processions for Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as announced by Qatar’s Foreign Ministry on Thursday.

Emphasis on Maritime Security

Both ministers underscored the importance of ensuring freedom of maritime navigation in the Arabian Gulf. They exchanged views on several issues of mutual interest, reaffirming their commitment to supporting security and stability in the region.
