The Embassy of Sweden in Pakistan celebrated Sweden’s National Day 2026 with a special event in Islamabad under the theme “Made With Sweden,” highlighting the strong bilateral partnership, innovation-driven cooperation, and shared commitment to sustainability, digital transformation, and economic growth.

Event Highlights

The ceremony brought together senior government officials, diplomats, business leaders, civil society representatives, cultural figures, alumni, and friends of Sweden. Minister of State for Finance and Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani attended as the Guest of Honour, representing the Government of Pakistan.

Addressing the gathering, Alexandra Berg von Linde said the “Made With Sweden” initiative reflects Sweden’s commitment to openness, international cooperation, and sustainable development. She noted that Swedish-Pakistani relations are founded on mutual trust, innovation, and long-term collaboration, enabling both countries to work together toward a greener, more digital, and resilient future.
