Mardan Triple Murder: Police Probe Launched, Children Found

Peshawar: Following the tragic incident in Sheikh Maltoon Town, police have launched immediate and effective action on the instructions of the District Police Officer (DPO) Mardan, according to a press statement issued by the police spokesperson.

Incident Details

It may be recalled that on Tuesday, unidentified assailants entered a house in Sector B, Street No 6, in the posh area of Sheikh Maltoon Town, Mardan, and killed three people, including a husband and wife, Jalal Khan and his wife, as well as his brother-in-law, Mustafa. According to police, the suspects also took with them two minor children of the deceased, Duaa and Eman. Later, police received information that the children had been abandoned in the Charsadda Chowk area. Acting promptly, police recovered both children and took them into safe custody.

Investigation Underway

The statement said that a special investigation team has been formed to probe the incident, while operations are underway at various locations to collect evidence and arrest the suspects. Police are closely examining all aspects of the case and are making strenuous efforts to bring those involved to justice as soon as possible.

Legal Proceedings

It is pertinent to mention that, on the complaint of Abdul Majeed, the father-in-law of the deceased, officials at Sheikh Maltoon Town (SMT) Police Station registered a case under Sections 302, 364-A, 404, and 409 of the relevant law. Police have assured the public that all resources are being utilized to ensure the swift apprehension of the culprits.
