KARACHI: The series of meetings by Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan leaders with distinguished religious scholars and leaders of various schools of thought continues to promote tolerance, inter-faith harmony, and the maintenance of law and order during the holy month of Muharram al-Haram.
Meeting with Mufti Noor Rehmani
In this regard, former Provincial Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs Abdul Haseeb, Ashraf Ali, In-charge of the Religious Affairs Committee Nasir Yameen, and other officials met with renowned religious leader and Sajjada Nashin of Khanqah Sarfrazia, Mufti Noor Rehmani, at his residence, said a spokesperson on Friday.
During the meeting, a message from MQM Pakistan’s Chairman and Federal Minister for Education Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui was conveyed, emphasizing the need to play a joint role in promoting inter-faith harmony, brotherhood, and peace during Muharram-ul-Haram.
On this occasion, Mufti Noor Rehmani appreciated the efforts of MQM Pakistan, assured full cooperation, and thanked the delegation for their visit.
Earlier Meeting with Allama Azhar Naqvi
Earlier, the delegation of the Religious Affairs Committee had also met with renowned religious leader Allama Azhar Naqvi and exchanged views on maintaining law and order and promoting inter-faith harmony during Muharram-ul-Haram.
Allama Azhar Naqvi also appreciated MQM Pakistan’s efforts for inter-faith harmony and assured full cooperation.
