Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab held a farewell meeting with the Consul General of China in Karachi, Yang Yundong, at the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation. The Mayor welcomed the Consul General and lauded the longstanding friendship and brotherly relations between Pakistan and China.

Mayor Wahab stated that the Pakistan-China friendship is enduring and strong, and joint efforts will continue to further strengthen this exemplary relationship. He added that China has always played a positive and valuable role in the improvement and development of Karachi’s local government.

The Mayor paid tribute to Consul General Yang Yundong for his services, noting that his affection, cooperation, and contributions to Pakistan, particularly Karachi, would always be remembered. He highlighted that the significant improvement in Karachi’s law and order situation over the past ten years has created greater opportunities for investment and development.
