Vawda: COAS Munir mediating US-Iran peace deal

Senator Faisal Vawda on Thursday asserted that Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, is actively facilitating complex negotiations and personally involved in drafting a potential peace agreement between the United States and Iran.

Munir's expanding role

In a post on X, Vawda stated that Munir's role is no longer confined to the region and that he is contributing internationally to global peace efforts. The senator added that Munir would play a historic role in this regard.

"Whatever analyses and claims are made in the world, all of them will prove to be wrong. The field marshal alone will make history in Pakistan's capital," Vawda said.

Expected high-level visits

Vawda further predicted that major global leaders would visit Pakistan within days or weeks for what he described as a historic development in global peace efforts. He emphasized that Pakistan and Munir are prominently emerging in the world order.

The senator also claimed that Munir played a decisive role in Pakistan's military engagement with India, asserting that he "gave India the worst defeat in war."
