Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday stated that the federal government would extend all possible support to the Sindh government to maintain law and order and combat drug smuggling in the province. He made these remarks during a meeting with Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon in Karachi.
Praise for Sindh Police
Naqvi commended the Sindh Police for their bravery, professionalism, and dedication in restoring law and order under challenging conditions. He highlighted the force's significant role in stabilizing the province.
The interior minister also congratulated Memon on the successful operations against dacoits in the Katcha area, acknowledging the provincial government's efforts in tackling crime.
Call for Enhanced Coordination
During the meeting, Memon emphasized that effective coordination between federal and provincial governments is the best approach to address the country's challenges. He stressed the importance of collaborative efforts on matters of national interest.
The senior minister reiterated the Sindh government's commitment to eliminating crime, ensuring peace, and protecting the province's residents. Both leaders agreed to strengthen communication to resolve issues faced by the public.
In a separate development, Mir Nadir Ali Abro was promoted to the position of Director of the Anti-Corruption Establishment.
