The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) is set to hold an important meeting today, June 2, at the Deputy Commissioner's Office in Sukkur. According to an official handout released on Monday, the session will be chaired by Deputy Commissioner Nadir Shehzad Khan and is scheduled to commence at 3:00 PM in the conference hall of the DC Office.

Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) and Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) from Sukkur, along with senior officials from other relevant departments, will also participate in the discussions.
Key topics on the agenda are expected to include disaster preparedness, response strategies, and coordination mechanisms among various departments to mitigate potential risks in the district.
Recent Ban on River Bathing
In a related development, authorities have imposed a 90-day ban on bathing in rivers and canals across the Sukkur division. This measure aims to prevent accidents and ensure public safety during the monsoon season.
