LAHORE - Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Tamim Iqbal hosted a special reception in honor of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi during his visit to Dhaka. A formal dinner was also arranged by the BCB president for Mohsin Naqvi and members of the Pakistan national cricket squad. Players, coaches, and management officials of the Pakistan team attended the ceremony alongside senior officials from the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
Strengthening Bilateral Cricket Ties
During the event, Tamim Iqbal and Mohsin Naqvi discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation for the promotion and development of cricket between the two countries. “On your arrival in Dhaka, we extend a heartfelt welcome to you,” said the Bangladesh Cricket Board president while addressing the gathering.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan shares not only cricketing ties but also warm-hearted relations with Bangladesh. He added that bilateral cricket series between the two nations have further strengthened mutual relations over the years. Mohsin Naqvi also thanked the Bangladesh Cricket Board president for the warm hospitality and excellent arrangements made for the Pakistan delegation.
The reception highlighted the strong camaraderie between the two cricketing nations, with both leaders expressing optimism about future collaborations. The visit is expected to pave the way for more frequent bilateral series and joint initiatives aimed at growing the sport in both countries.
