England and Australia will face off in the final of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup at Lord's in London on Sunday after both teams registered commanding victories in their respective semi-finals.
Australia Cruise Past West Indies
Australia secured their place in the title decider with an emphatic eight-wicket victory over the West Indies at The Oval. After electing to field first, the Australians limited the West Indies to 125-7 before comfortably chasing the target, reaching 126-2 in just 13 overs.
England Overcome South Africa
In the second semi-final, tournament hosts England defeated South Africa by 40 runs to book their place in the championship match. Batting first after South Africa chose to bowl, England posted 169-5 before restricting their opponents to 129-8 in 20 overs.
MCC Urges Full House at Lord's
Ahead of the final, the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has encouraged its members to attend the match and ensure a full house at Lord's. The appeal follows criticism the club received during the 2017 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup final, when many seats in the members' enclosure remained vacant despite England's title-winning performance before a crowd of approximately 24,000 spectators.
