Lahore Qalandars and Muslim Hands (MH) Pakistan have formalized a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at bolstering grassroots cricket development and youth empowerment across Pakistan. The agreement was announced in Lahore, marking a significant step toward nurturing emerging talent from underserved communities.
Joint Operation of High Performance Centre
Under the terms of the MoU, both organizations will jointly operate the Muslim Hands Qalandars High Performance Centre located in Wazirabad. The facility is designed to provide structured training and player development, with a focus on identifying and honing the skills of young cricketers. The centre was inaugurated by Lahore Qalandars CEO and owner Atif Rana, who emphasized the shared commitment to community welfare and professional pathways.
Transparent Trials and Professional Coaching
The Lahore Qalandars’ Player Development Program will conduct transparent trials to discover emerging talent. Successful participants will gain access to professional coaching and mentorship, bridging the gap between street-level cricket and professional careers. Officials stated that the collaboration will expand scouting networks and improve access to quality training facilities nationwide.
Early Progress at the Centre
Weeks after its inauguration, the High Performance Centre has already commenced training sessions and early-stage assessments. Coaches are emphasizing discipline, fitness, and skill refinement while encouraging participation from young cricketers in underserved communities. This initiative reinforces the joint vision of Lahore Qalandars and Muslim Hands Pakistan to build a sustainable pipeline of future national-level athletes.
According to officials, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to community welfare, offering underprivileged youth a pathway into professional cricket through skill development and guidance. The Wazirabad facility is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening Pakistan’s grassroots cricket infrastructure and talent pipeline.
