Lahore – Pakistan’s squash campaign at the 3rd Asian Doubles Squash Championship 2026 gained momentum as the pair of Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal powered into the semifinals with a hard-fought victory, while compatriots Muhammad Hamza Khan and Muhammad Asim Khan bowed out in the quarterfinal stage.
Thrilling Win for Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal
In a tightly contested encounter, Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal overcame South Korea’s Oh Seojin and Lee Minwoo 2-1 (10-12, 11-4, 11-2) in a 28-minute battle. The Pakistani duo recovered strongly after dropping the opening game, displaying sharp coordination and aggressive play that turned the match decisively in their favour.
Disappointment for Hamza and Asim
However, it was disappointment for Muhammad Hamza Khan and Muhammad Asim Khan, who went down fighting against Malaysia’s Sanjay Jeeva and Duncan Lee 1-2 (4-11, 11-9, 7-11) in a closely contested quarterfinal. The contrasting results highlighted Pakistan’s mixed fortunes in the competition, though the semifinal qualification of Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal keeps medal hopes alive.
