The Punjab Lawn Tennis Association (PLTA) has expressed its appreciation for the management of Sahiwal Club for the successful organization of the All Pakistan Juniors/Seniors National Ranking Tennis Championship. The event was described as a significant boost for the development of tennis in the region.

Historic Return to Sahiwal

The week-long championship marked the return of national-ranking tennis to Sahiwal after nearly three decades. It attracted a large number of leading and emerging players from across the country. The tournament was widely praised for its professional management, competitive standard, and excellent hospitality.

Match Results

On the courts, several players advanced with commanding performances in the men’s singles second round. Ahtesham Humayun outclassed Ahmad Hameed 6-0, 6-0, while Imran Bhatti eased past M. Ahmad Afzal 6-0, 6-1. Abdul Basit, M. Zubair, Subhan, Sheikh Zeeshan, Atta Rabbi, and Suleman Junaid also progressed to the next stage with convincing victories.

In the boys U-18 pre-quarterfinals, Ahtesham Humayun continued his impressive run by defeating Rehman Bilal 6-0, 6-1. Aliyan Ali, Huzaifa Asif, Abdul Basit, and M. Yahya also booked their places in the quarterfinals.

The boys U-14 category witnessed a series of dominant displays, with Muhammad Muaz, Hasham Sher Chadar, Muhammad Ibraheem Hussain Gill, Aliyan Ali, Behroze Memon, Muhammad Ayan, Shayan Afridi, and Rashid Ali Bachani advancing to the next round.

Meanwhile, first-round matches in the boys U-12 competition saw Ishfan Memon, Mustafa Zia, Majid Ali Bachani, Riyan Omer Khalil, Behroze Memon, Muhammad Faizan, Salman Pirzada, Mustafa Uzair Rana, and Salaar Khan emerge victorious.
