Shaheen Afridi leads Pakistan to bowl out Australia for 157

Spearhead fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi claimed three wickets as Pakistan bowled out Australia for 157 in the third and final one-day international at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Thursday. Shaheen finished with figures of 3-30, supported effectively by spinners Abrar Ahmed (2-19) and Shadab Khan (2-28). Australia, after winning the toss and choosing to bat on a slow-paced pitch, were dismissed in 42 overs.

Pakistan's strong comeback

Pakistan made a strong comeback after losing the second ODI by 41 runs in Lahore on Tuesday. They had won the first match by five wickets in Rawalpindi. The spinners built on Shaheen's early strikes to restrict Australia to a modest total.

Australia's innings

Josh Inglis top-scored for Australia with a resilient 65 off 71 balls, including eight boundaries and a six. Marnus Labuschagne and Alex Carey contributed 19 runs each, while Adam Zampa made 10. Shaheen struck early by dismissing Matthew Short off the second ball of the match. Inglis then added 46 runs for the second wicket with Labuschagne and a further 52 for the third wicket with Carey. However, Australia lost their last seven wickets for just 38 runs, with two run-outs further damaging their innings.
