According to Six Flags, the new attraction will open to the public on July 4, 2026, at the park in Gurnee, Illinois. The ride has already generated significant excitement among coaster enthusiasts thanks to its record-setting design and intense layout.
Record-Breaking Design
Manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard, Wrath of Rakshasa will become the world's steepest dive coaster when it opens, featuring a dramatic 96-degree drop that sends riders plunging more than 170 feet at speeds reaching 67 mph.
The coaster's experience begins with riders being lifted to the top of a towering structure before briefly hanging over the edge of the vertical drop. Once released, trains race through a series of inversions, twists and high-speed maneuvers designed to deliver a highly intense ride experience.
