The Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) successfully wrapped up the 8th PGF Jinnah Development Tour 2026 and the PGF Hazara Junior Amateur Golf Championship 2026 at the PIFFERS Golf & Country Club in Abbottabad. Over three days, the twin events highlighted the rising talent in Pakistani golf, with Muhammad Sahil, Hamza Waheed, Larib Ur Rehman, Jashwa Amjad, and Sara Amin Khan emerging as national champions in their respective divisions.
Professional Title Won by Muhammad Sahil
In the 54-hole Jinnah Development Tour, Muhammad Sahil secured the professional title with a total score of three-over-par 219. Ralfe E. Aslam Raja and Waris Ali tied for second place at 220, while Shahbaz Ali and Shahbaz Masih rounded out the top five. A notable aspect of the tournament was the strong performance of amateur golfers, with five advancing to the final round alongside seasoned professionals.
Junior Champions Shine in Hazara Championship
Among the juniors, Hamza Waheed won the Boys Category A title with an even-par 216, finishing ahead of Muhammad Barik Ayub and Mustafa Asif. Larib Ur Rehman delivered one of the standout performances of the tournament, carding an outstanding nine-under-par 207 to claim the Boys Category B title. Jashwa Amjad topped Boys Category C with a score of 218, while Sara Amin Khan dominated the Girls Division, finishing at four-over-par 220 to comfortably secure the championship.
Commandant PIFFERS Centre Brigadier Adnan Orakzai attended the closing ceremony as chief guest, presenting trophies to the winners and commending the PGF's commitment to nurturing future champions. PGF Tournament Director Malik Kamran highlighted the implementation of a rigorous age-verification process, ensuring transparency and fair competition across all junior categories.
