PTF distributes Rs4m in performance-based rewards to players and coaches

The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has distributed Rs4 million in performance-based rewards to players and coaches in recognition of their outstanding results from February to May 2026. The initiative follows a successful international run in which Pakistan recorded a notable Davis Cup victory over Senegal and produced strong performances across ITF Junior and ITF Futures tournaments. Pakistani athletes also dominated events held in Islamabad, securing multiple singles and doubles titles on home soil.

Awards Presentation by PTF President

The awards were presented by PTF President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, who praised the players for elevating the country’s profile on the global tennis stage. He said the incentive programme reflects the federation’s commitment to building a professional, merit-based environment and motivating emerging talent.

Recipients and Recognition

Among the recipients were Aqeel Khan, Muhammad Shoaib, Muzammil Murtaza, Yousaf Khalil, Rashid Malik, Muhammad Khalid, Mushaf Zia, Shahzad Khan, Furqan Ahmad, Muhammad Arshad Javed, Ehtisham Humayun, Hamza Roman, Abubakar Talha and Mikaeel Ali Baig, along with supporting coaches and officials.

PTF Secretary General Col. (R) Zia-ud-Din Tufail also commended the athletes, reiterating the federation’s focus on expanding competitive opportunities and strengthening Pakistan’s presence in international tennis through sustained development and structured support programmes.
