10 Chinese Electric Buses Arrive in Layyah

Ten Chinese-made Higer electric green buses have arrived in Layyah as part of Punjab Chief Minister’s Green Mobility Vision, marking a significant step towards modern and environmentally friendly public transport in the district. The Punjab government also announced that five more Higer buses will soon be added to the fleet.

Features of the New Buses

The newly arrived buses are designed to provide safe, comfortable, energy-efficient, and eco-friendly transportation for commuters. Their induction is expected to improve public transport services while helping reduce carbon emissions. The same Chinese Higer electric buses are already operating on roads in several Punjab cities, including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, and Gujranwala, as part of the Punjab government’s expanding green transport network.

Green Mobility Vision Implementation

The initiative aims to modernize urban transit and promote clean energy across the province, according to a Gwadar Pro report. With the arrival of these buses in Layyah, residents will soon benefit from reliable, modern public transport, while the addition of five more buses is expected to further strengthen the city’s transport system.
