According to police officials, a long-standing land conflict existed between Wajahat Khan and Saleem Khan within the jurisdiction of Nara police station. The animosity had persisted for an extended period, creating tensions in the area.

On Wednesday morning, the two groups confronted each other, and the dispute rapidly escalated into an armed clash. Both sides opened fire, resulting in injuries to 13 people. The injured were initially rushed to the Type-D Hospital in Havelian for first aid. Subsequently, on the advice of medical staff, they were referred to Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad for more advanced treatment.

Upon receiving information, District Police Officer Haroonur Rashid Khan directed the registration of a case under Sections 324 (attempted murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code. Under the supervision of the SP Havelian, police arrested seven suspects from one group and two from the rival faction. Additional police personnel have been deployed to the area to maintain law and order and prevent further violence.
