Meeting on Jhelum Development Projects
Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani chaired a meeting to review the progress of ongoing development projects in Jhelum, directing officials to ensure their timely completion. The meeting discussed key initiatives, including the Jhelum Dual Carriageway, Jhelum Model Bazaar project, the district's first co-working space, and projects being undertaken by the Jhelum Heritage and Culture Board.
Jhelum Dual Carriageway to Improve Connectivity
Speaking on the occasion, Bilal Azhar Kayani said the more than 100-kilometre-long Jhelum Dual Carriageway would significantly improve connectivity and meet the travel needs of millions of residents across the district. He emphasized the importance of completing all development projects on schedule to enhance public facilities, promote economic activity, and preserve Jhelum's cultural heritage.
Directives for Quality and Timely Execution
The minister also directed the relevant authorities to maintain the pace of work and ensure high-quality execution of the projects. The meeting underscored the government's commitment to infrastructure development and economic growth in the region.
