DC Vehari Reviews KPIs, Development Projects, and Appeals

Deputy Commissioner Vehari Khalid Javed Goraya conducted a series of meetings and inspections on Monday to review departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), progress of the Punjab Development Programme, appeals against rejected applications under the “Apna Khet Apna Rozgar” Scheme, and ongoing beautification of Rail Bazaar.

Directives for Improved Service Delivery

He directed all departments to improve service delivery, ensure timely resolution of public complaints, upload accurate dashboard data, and take strict action against bogus reporting. He also ordered quality inspections, cleanliness under the Suthra Punjab Programme, anti-encroachment operations, action against profiteers, and closure of illegal fuel and gas refilling points.

Inspections and Monitoring

The Deputy Commissioner ordered regular inspections of schools, hospitals, and development projects. He directed activation of filtration plants and streetlights, and monitoring of fertilizer and pesticide prices to protect farmers and consumers.

Development Projects Review

Reviewing development projects, the Deputy Commissioner directed authorities to complete sewerage, storm water drainage, footpaths, and underground water storage tank projects in Vehari, Burewala, and Mailsi on schedule. He emphasized timely completion to benefit the public.

Apna Khet Apna Rozgar Appeals

He heard appeals of rejected applicants under the “Apna Khet Apna Rozgar” Scheme, stating that all decisions would be made strictly on merit, transparency, and government policy. This ensures fair distribution of resources to eligible farmers.

Rail Bazaar Beautification

During his visit to Rail Bazaar, he reviewed the quality and pace of beautification work, inspected parking arrangements, and instructed officials to complete the project by 10 July. He said the initiative would provide citizens with a cleaner, more attractive, and pleasant urban environment.
