Electric Buses Launch New Transport Era in Punjab
Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari announced that green electric buses have initiated a new era in the province's transport sector, with public demand rapidly increasing. In a statement on Saturday, she highlighted that citizens across various cities are requesting the government to extend the electric bus service to their areas.
Expansion Plans Across 147 Tehsils
According to the Punjab government's planning, electric buses will soon operate in all 147 tehsils of the province. Currently, 1,100 electric buses are running in different districts, offering modern, comfortable, and eco-friendly travel facilities to residents.
Government Commitment to Quality Services
Azma Bokhari emphasized that Punjab is unmatched in efficiency, good governance, and merit, and the government continues taking practical steps to provide quality facilities. She also noted that a Rs570 million grant has been approved for restoring small industrial estate infrastructure.
