Hyderabad police have arrested 44 suspects during targeted operations conducted between June 22 and June 28, according to an official statement. The week-long crackdown targeted criminals, drug dealers, gutka suppliers, and absconders, resulting in the recovery of illegal weapons and large quantities of narcotics.

Breakdown of Arrests

The arrests included 4 individuals for criminal activity, 20 for drug peddling, 2 for theft, 1 for motorcycle lifting, 14 for selling gutka or mainpuri, and 3 for other offences. The operations were part of a broader effort to curb crime and substance abuse in the city.

Recoveries Made

Police recovered 2 pistols with bullets, 1 carbon and 4 cartridges, 1,390 sachets of mainpuri, 1,800 gutka sachets, and 1,312 kg of raw mainpuri material. In anti-narcotics operations, they also seized 25 liquor bottles, 28 litres of illicit liquor, 191 grams of ice, and 3.165 kg of charas.
