Lahore Police Step Up Security for Muharram

The Lahore Police have intensified security and operational preparations across the city ahead of Muharram to ensure the peaceful observance of religious gatherings and processions. As part of these efforts, DIG Operations Faisal Kamran visited several Imambargahs on Saturday to review security arrangements.

Security Inspections at Key Imambargahs

During his visit, DIG Kamran inspected security measures at Imambargah Qasr-e-Batool and Imambargah Model Town. He also examined the routes of processions originating from these two Imambargahs and reviewed the security plan in detail. The DIG met administrators of the religious institutions to discuss security, traffic management, and other administrative matters related to Muharram arrangements.

Directives for Police Officers

Kamran directed police officers to maintain close coordination with organizers of gatherings and processions to ensure that any issues arising during the month are addressed promptly. He emphasized that the police are fully prepared to provide security for Imambargahs, majalis, and processions across the city. He instructed concerned officers to complete all logistical and security arrangements before the start of Muharram-ul-Haram to facilitate mourners and maintain a peaceful environment.
