Lahore Rainfall Brings Relief from Heat, More Rain Expected
Lahore Rain Brings Relief, More Showers Predicted

Rainfall swept across several parts of Lahore on Friday evening, bringing relief from hot and humid conditions and lowering temperatures across the city. Showers were recorded in Shahdara, Niazi Chowk, Abbott Road, Lakshmi Chowk, Shimla Pahari and nearby areas. While some localities received heavy rain, others experienced light showers.

Strong Winds Accompany Rainfall

Strong winds accompanied the rainfall, easing the day's intense heat and creating more pleasant weather for residents. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted additional rainfall in Lahore over the next two days as the monsoon system continues to influence parts of Punjab.

At the time of reporting, the temperature in the provincial capital was 34°C, with winds blowing at 26 kilometres per hour. The forecast suggests that continued rainfall over the weekend will help keep temperatures moderate and improve weather conditions across the city.

Monsoon System Active

The PMD attributed the rainfall to an active monsoon system that is expected to persist, bringing further showers to Lahore and other parts of Punjab. Residents are advised to stay informed about weather updates as the situation develops.
