LUH Treated 65 Mourners for Blade Chain Wounds

HYDERABAD: Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) provided surgical treatment to 65 mourners on the 9th and 10th of Muharram for wounds sustained from chains of blades. According to a hospital spokesman, 302 additional mourners who reported with similar injuries received first aid. Mobile teams from LUH also administered first aid to 121 mourners at various locations.

Emergency Preparedness and Ambulance Deployment

The spokesman stated that 10 LUH ambulances were stationed at different points to quickly transport patients to the hospital in case of emergencies. The hospital had canceled all staff leaves and declared an emergency status from the onset of Muharram to ensure readiness for any casualties.

Previous Measures and Support

The hospital's proactive measures included pre-positioning medical supplies and coordinating with local authorities. The spokesman emphasized that the hospital's response was part of a broader plan to handle the influx of mourners during the religious observances.
