NDF Pakistan Hands Over Tri-Motor Bike Registration Docs in Nawabshah

NAWABSHAH — Abid Lashari, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and President of the National Disability & Development Forum (NDF) Pakistan, formally handed over the sale letters (registration documents) of donated tri-motor bikes to nine beneficiaries at a ceremony held in Nawabshah. The recipients included Mr Najaf Ali Awan, Mr Jumo Khan Jamali, Mr Shabir Brohi, Mr Parvez Ali Laghari, Mr Ali Raza Abro, Mr Javed Ali Soomro, Mr Ali Hassan Khoso, Mr Zain ul Abdin Ansari, and Mr Mithal Ali. The sale letters facilitate the official registration of their assistive mobility vehicles, ensuring lawful use on public roads.

Mobility as a Fundamental Right

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Abid Lashari said that access to mobility is a fundamental right and a key element of empowering persons with disabilities. He emphasized that tri-motor bikes enable beneficiaries to travel independently, access education, employment, healthcare, and participate actively in social and community life with dignity. “Completing the legal registration process ensures that beneficiaries can safely and lawfully use their tri-motor bikes, promoting long-term independence and inclusion,” he added.

Gratitude to Government and Partners

Mr Abid Lashari expressed his sincere gratitude to the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Government of Sindh, for its continued support in providing assistive devices and promoting disability inclusion across the province. He reaffirmed NDF Pakistan’s commitment to working with government departments, development partners, and the private sector to expand access to assistive devices and rehabilitation services, ensuring that more persons with disabilities can live independent, productive, and dignified lives.
