Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Sunday stated that the provincial government is taking concrete steps to make Punjab more environment-friendly through innovative climate solutions. In a statement, she appreciated the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), researchers, bioscientists, and technical teams for developing Pakistan's first EPA-certified "Liquid Tree," an experimental bio-artificial tree designed to improve environmental conditions.
Successful Trial Project
She said the successful trial project, currently being transported from Faisalabad to Lahore, marks an important step in introducing modern, science-based environmental initiatives in the province. The chief minister emphasized that such innovations reflect the province's commitment to tackling environmental challenges and promoting sustainable development.
Expansion Plans
Maryam Nawaz said the government plans to expand the project across Punjab following its successful implementation and performance evaluation. She reiterated that efforts are underway to promote green, clean, and climate-resilient urban development across Punjab through modern technology and research-based solutions.
