Sialkot Police recovered 110 stolen and lost smartphones valued at Rs10 million in June using the E-Gadget mobile application, officials announced on Sunday. The devices were returned to their rightful owners after completing verification and legal formalities.
Recovery Through E-Gadget App
According to a police statement, multiple police stations received applications from citizens reporting the loss or theft of mobile phones. On the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Capt (retd) Dost Muhammad, police teams utilized the E-Gadget mobile application to trace and recover the devices.
Return to Owners
Officials confirmed that the recovered smartphones were handed back to their owners after completion of verification and legal formalities. The initiative demonstrates the use of modern technology in improving public service delivery and assisting citizens in recovering lost property.
