Sukkur Divisional Commissioner Abid Saleem Qureshi on Monday visited Civil Hospital Sukkur to review ongoing development projects, particularly the installation of a solar power plant and the under-construction Trauma Centre.

Solar Plant Inspection and Directives

During the visit, the commissioner inspected the solar plant installation and directed the concerned officials to complete and operationalise the project at the earliest. He emphasised that uninterrupted power supply must be ensured for admitted patients and various wards during the intense heat season.

Quality Healthcare as Top Priority

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Qureshi stated that the divisional administration and the Health Department’s top priority was to provide quality and timely medical facilities to the public. He instructed that all ongoing development works at the hospital be completed within the stipulated time to ensure patients receive the best possible treatment.

Trauma Centre Review and Progress Briefing

The commissioner also reviewed the under-construction Trauma Centre, development works in various wards, and other facilities, and obtained a detailed briefing from the relevant authorities on the progress. Hospital administration, doctors, and officials informed the commissioner that the solar power plant would be made fully functional within a week, while work on other ongoing projects was being expedited for completion ahead of schedule.

Quality and Resource Utilisation

The commissioner directed the concerned authorities to ensure there was no compromise on the quality of work and to utilise all available resources to provide better healthcare facilities to the public.
