Two young boys lost their lives in separate drowning incidents while bathing at waterfalls in Abbottabad district over the past two days, highlighting continued violations of the district administration’s ban on bathing in rivers, streams, waterfalls and other natural water bodies amid the ongoing heatwave.

The first incident occurred at Jandar Bari Waterfall in Galiyat, while the second took place in Shahkot, Abbottabad. Both victims were young boys who had been bathing despite the restrictions. The district administrations of Abbottabad, Mansehra, and Haripur have once again urged the public to strictly comply with the ban, warning that violations are putting lives at serious risk.
