Vehi Police Bust Gang, Recover Stolen Goods Worth Rs1.13M

Acting on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Vehari Tasawur Iqbal, Daniwal Police have successfully dismantled a two-member gang involved in motorcycle theft and burglary. The police traced 23 criminal cases and recovered stolen property valued at Rs1.13 million. The recovered items include eight motorcycles, an LED television, a UPS with battery, two mobile phones, cash, and other valuables.

Arrested Suspects and Weapons Recovered

The arrested suspects have been identified as Sajid Sardar alias Arsalan Slow, a resident of Theengi, and Ali Raza Tauri, a resident of 26/WB. Police also recovered two illegal 30-bore pistols allegedly used by the suspects during criminal activities. According to police, the gang had been operating in Vehari city and its surrounding areas, committing motorcycle thefts and burglary incidents.

Investigation and Police Team

To trace the gang, DPO Tasawur Iqbal constituted a special police team under the supervision of SDPO Sadr Circle Jamshed Akram, led by SHO Danywal Mazhar Fareed Gondal. Using modern technology and IT-based investigative techniques, the team successfully identified and arrested the suspects while recovering the stolen property.

Property Handed Over to Owners

During a ceremony, SDPO Jamshed Akram handed over the recovered stolen property to its rightful owners, who appreciated the efforts of the Vehari Police in recovering their belongings. Further investigations are underway, and more disclosures are expected.
