Prince Faisal Chairs Second-Quarter 2026 Meeting
Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, governor of the Al-Jouf region, chaired the second-quarter 2026 meeting of the Supreme Coordination Committee for Supporting and Facilitating the Implementation of Projects and Services in the region at his office in Sakaka, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on June 30, 2026.
Review of Project Portfolio Performance
During the meeting, Prince Faisal reviewed a presentation delivered by the Strategic Office for the Development of Al-Jouf region. The presentation covered performance indicators for the region’s government project portfolio, which comprises 111 projects with a total value exceeding SR12 billion ($3.2 billion). The follow-up results showed an improvement in the progress of several projects, with the number proceeding according to schedule increasing to 59, compared with 52 projects in the first quarter of 2026. Conversely, the number of projects requiring follow-up and corrective action declined to 52, compared with 58 projects in the previous quarter.
Activation of Development Project Monitoring Unit
The committee also reviewed the latest developments on the activation of the Development Project Monitoring Unit, in coordination with the Expenditure and Projects Efficiency Authority. This unit is aimed at strengthening oversight and improving implementation efficiency across the region’s projects.
Governor's Emphasis on Efficiency and Data Updates
The governor stressed the importance of continuing efforts to improve the efficiency of project implementation, regularly updating project data on the National Government Projects Platform and within the five-year portfolios, and addressing any challenges that may arise to enhance the quality of services provided to citizens. Prince Faisal also praised the generous support extended by the Kingdom’s leadership for development projects in the region to help achieve their objectives. He affirmed that monitoring project implementation and improving its efficiency remain a priority in serving citizens and enhancing service quality.
