Hyderabad Mayor: Development Projects Nearing Completion

Hyderabad Mayor Kashif Ali Shoro announced that ongoing development projects across the city are rapidly moving towards completion, and regular work on more projects will begin in the next few days. He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony marking the completion of multiple development projects in Latifabad.

Thousands Attend Ceremony in Latifabad

Thousands of people, including Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Ms. Huma Naqvi, participated in the program. During the event, PPP leader Huma Naqvi facilitated the joining of workers from other parties in Latifabad's PS-63 constituency into the PPP. Shanawar Khan and other party workers were also present.

Cooperation with PPP Leadership and Sindh Government

Shoro noted that the completion of various streets, roads, and other development projects in Latifabad has been possible with the cooperation of the PPP leadership, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, and the Sindh government. Several other projects are also in the final stages of completion.

Request for Inauguration of Filter Plant

The mayor said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has been requested to inaugurate the filter plant in Latifabad No. 4 so that this significant project can be activated for the public soon. He emphasized that elected representatives, workers, and local leadership of the PPP are continuously monitoring development projects to ensure each is completed amicably and the public benefits fully.

Improved Rain Response and Drainage

Shoro recalled that during rains, citizens used to live in water for several weeks, but the PPP local government leadership never left the people alone after assuming power. He said that in rain or any emergency, the party's elected representatives and workers were present in the field and worked day and night to solve problems, including drainage.

Commitment to Clean Water and Infrastructure

The mayor stated that the PPP has never made excuses for lack of resources or powers but has believed in practical service. To provide clean water in Hyderabad, the PPP established various filter plants, upgraded existing projects, and continued work on new ones. A modern project is under construction at Darya Khan Pumping Station, and work is underway on an important scheme up to Karo Ghangro, through which industrial, domestic, and commercial wastewater will be transported to the sea under a proper system, improving the supply of clean and safe water to citizens.

Ongoing Infrastructure Projects

Shoro added that work is also progressing rapidly on new roads, streets, underpasses, parks, filter plants, and other infrastructure projects in the city. The PPP is committed to implementing the promises made to the people.
