Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will resume direct passenger flights between Beijing and Islamabad starting Friday, July 3, 2026, reestablishing a vital air link between Pakistan and China after a temporary suspension. The airline last operated its scheduled Beijing-Islamabad flight on April 10, 2026.
Enhanced Connectivity and Baggage Allowance
Passengers from 25 cities across China will benefit from improved connectivity through PIA's commercial partnerships with Air China and Shenzhen Airlines, enabling seamless onward travel to Islamabad via Beijing. To enhance the travel experience, PIA has introduced an upgraded free baggage allowance of 50 kg (two pieces) in Economy Class and 60 kg (two pieces) in Executive Economy.
Promotional Fares and Early Booking
The airline is offering promotional fares on the Beijing-Islamabad route along with competitive through fares from connected cities across China. Passengers are encouraged to make reservations early, as promotional fares are available on a limited number of seats.
The resumption of flights is expected to strengthen tourism, trade, educational exchanges, and people-to-people ties between Pakistan and China. The service will provide much-needed convenience for students, business travelers, tourists, and families traveling between the two countries.
