A tragic road accident on the M-5 Motorway near Multan claimed the life of a truck driver and left his brother critically injured on Saturday. The incident occurred when a Mazda truck carrying lemons overturned after the driver applied sudden brakes, causing the vehicle to skid and plunge off the motorway.

According to Rescue 1122, the truck was traveling at high speed when the driver braked abruptly near Pole No. 733, leading to loss of control. The truck overturned and fell off the motorway. Eyewitnesses alerted rescue teams, who arrived promptly and used cutting equipment to extract the trapped victims from the mangled wreckage.
Victims Identified
The deceased was identified as Asmatullah, 26, who suffered fatal head injuries. His brother, Asadullah, also 26, sustained multiple fractures and was rushed to Nishtar Hospital-II in critical condition. Rescue 1122, with assistance from FWO personnel, transported both victims to the hospital after completing legal formalities at the request of the Motorway Police.
