Two Turks Arrested in Greece Trucking 50 Guns

Greek police announced on Friday the arrest of two Turkish nationals attempting to cross the border with 50 pistols hidden in a truck. The incident occurred at the Evros border crossing in the Thrace region on Wednesday night, according to a police statement.

Arrest and Seizure Details

The two men were driving two trucks. The front vehicle acted as a scout, while the guns were discovered in the following truck. In addition to the 50 pistols, authorities found 49 magazine reloads for the weapons. None of the pistols had manufacturer markings or serial numbers, making them untraceable.

Police said the drivers were accused of participating in a criminal organization. They were scheduled to appear before prosecutors. The statement did not provide further details about the suspects' identities or their intended destination.
