President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized the need to strengthen collaboration between Pakistan and China in industrial technology, skills development, and joint ventures to bolster infrastructure and economic growth. He made these remarks during a visit to SANY Heavy Industry Company Ltd in Changsha, Hunan province, where discussions centered on expanding industrial collaboration and investment.
Focus on Technology Transfer and Partnerships
The visit explored avenues for technology transfer and partnerships in engineering and construction machinery. President Zardari praised the scale and technological advancement of SANY’s manufacturing ecosystem, highlighting the potential for cooperation in construction machinery, digital manufacturing, clean energy, and engineering solutions. He called for deeper engagement between the two nations to foster mutual growth.

During the visit, SANY Group Chairman Tang Xiuguo briefed the president on the company’s operations and core business areas. Tang expressed a willingness to expand collaboration with Pakistan in manufacturing, technology exchange, and capacity building, signaling a strong interest in strengthening bilateral industrial ties.
This initiative aligns with broader efforts to enhance Pakistan-China economic partnerships, which have already seen significant investments under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
