Gold and Silver Prices Drop in Pakistan, International Markets See Decline
Gold and Silver Prices Fall in Pakistan and Global Markets

In a notable shift in commodity markets, the prices of gold and silver experienced a decline in Pakistan on Friday, as reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. This downward trend was mirrored in international markets, highlighting broader economic factors at play.

Local Gold Market Sees Significant Drop

The local market witnessed a substantial decrease in gold prices, with 24 karat gold per tola falling by Rs3,300 to settle at Rs501,562, compared to Rs504,862 on the previous trading day. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs2,829 to Rs430,008 from Rs432,837. For 22 karat gold, the price per 10 grams went down by Rs2,593 to Rs394,188 against Rs396,781.

International Gold Market Follows Suit

In the international market, the price of gold decreased by $33 to $4,792 per ounce from $4,825. This global decline suggests interconnected economic pressures, such as fluctuations in currency values or shifts in investor sentiment towards safer assets.
